Kathy Lynch RFD – Senior Consultant
Kathy has more than 30 years experience in the private sector having sold her business Stanley & Co in 2002. The business provided para-legal services to Government Agencies, Banks, Solicitors, Body Corporate Managers and Accountants. Kathy served on many government committees from 1985 to 2002 and was a working member of many inaugural committees in this State including Member of the Auctioneers and Agents Board and Tribunal, Chair of the Brisbane North Roundtable, Chair of the Business Services ITAB, all sub committees through the Office of Fair Trading including Security Providers, Department of Natural Resources trialling as a pilot scheme for the department online electronic lodgement of documents.
As National President of the Institute of Mercantile Agents she also served on many National bodies including the steering committee for the Business Services Industry Training Advisory Body from 1992. In 1996 she was awarded the Paul Bunyan Award from America which is the highest recognition in the world by her industry Kathy’s passion for competencies for industry sectors, and industry codes of conduct are well known. Her involvement on many National Committees included ACCC, ASIC, ITSA. And National ITAB’S In association with other business partners she developed The Australian College for Investigators and Agents which achieved RTO status offering amongst many courses the para-legal course which became part of the National Framework.
Her spare time saw her actively involved in the Army Reserve in Queensland where she was awarded the Peter Stuckey Mitchell Award for management and leadership in her development of the courses for recruitment. She currently serves as President Qld of The Defence Reserve Association.
